I've always been very active, but back in 2011, on a warm and sunny day, I injured my hamstring doing gymnastics in the park. That injury stopped me dead in my tracks and I was no longer able to participate in my hi-impact cardio activities. That's when I recognized the hula hoop as more than a mere child's toy, and that in fact it is an excellent way to up your cardio with little to no impact to your joints. Then there's waist hooping, hip, thigh, knee, and chest hooping too and then there's a whole world of off-body hooping that melts into the circus arts.

Needless to say, I fell head over heels for the hoop, I received certified training to become a hoop fitness instructor. Fast forward years later, I'm still in love with the hoop and continue to introduce others to the joy of hooping thru private lessons.
Once inside the hoop we learn more about ourselves than we ever could have imagined, we find joy and laughter and release the egos. While all that is happening we're also exercising and toning up our bodies!
